About the Captain

Captain Kevin Langlands grew up on the shores of Lake St. Clair’s Anchor Bay and has spent his life chasing the trophy Smallmouth Bass and Walleye that make this fishery so special. With years of experience and a deep understanding of the lake, Kevin’s goal is simple: to get you on the fish and help you land one you’ll never forget.

He also guides on Northern Michigan’s clear-water lakes, targeting trophy Smallmouth Bass in some of the most scenic waters the state has to offer.

Kevin’s passion for fishing has taken him well beyond Michigan. He’s chased bass across Tennessee and South Carolina, and spent much of his teenage years fishing the inshore waters of Southwest Florida—including Estero Bay, Fort Myers Beach, and Marco Island—for snook, trout, redfish, and tarpon.

Whenever the opportunity arises, he heads offshore in South Florida and the Upper Keys to target pelagic species like wahoo, tuna, mahi mahi, and sailfish.

He recently graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Business Administration. While at GVSU, he was a member of the university’s tournament bass fishing team and won a state championship on Lake St. Clair in 2022.

When he’s not on the water, Kevin enjoys duck and deer hunting, skiing, and staying active outdoors—always chasing the next adventure.
