Wear appropriate attire for the conditions, including rain gear and an additional layer. The Great Lakes region often experiences cooler temperatures compared to the forecasted onshore weather. Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
-
Which Fishing License will I need on my trip?
You will need either a Michigan or Ontario or Both. It all depends on which seasons are open for fishing, the wind direction forecast, water clarity, and where I have been catching fish leading up to your trip. I will reach out to you a couple days before the trip to go over which license(s) you will need.
Q:
-
Where will we be launching from the day of the trip?
I typically launch from Harrison Twp. for most smallmouth trips although depending on the wind direction we may also launch from St. Clair Shores, Fairhaven or Detroit. Walleye Trips will be launched from either Marine City, Algonac, or Detroit all depending on where the fish are biting.

For Northern Michigan Trips, boat launch will be decided based on body of water and conditions.
